Fukuoka Airport is located in Shimo-usui, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City in Fukuoka Prefecture and is known as an airport located within a short distance from the city centre. Fukuoka City Subway directly links to the airport and it is Japan’s most convenient airport taking approx. 5 minutes from Fukuoka Airport Station to Hakata Station (approx. 2.5km as the crow flies, 3.3km railway length) and approx. 11 minutes to Tenjin, the centre of Fukuoka City (approx. 4.5km as the crow flies, 5.8km railway length).

2.Checking luggage
It is possible to use a temporary left luggage service at Fukuoka Airport. There are three different fees depending on the size of your luggage: 300 yen, 500 yen and 800 yen per piece per day. Suitcases are usually charged at 500 yen.
