Togatta Onsen
ogatta Onsen is located on eastern hills (330m above sea level) of the Zao mountain range in Miyagi Prefecture and boasts a panoramic view of the breathtaking Zao mountains. It was discovered in the 6th year of the Keicho Period (1601) and has been used since long ago as an onsen for recreation. Accommodation facilities are dotted around the shopping streets and it is possible to use public baths, etc. whenever you wish. It is also close to the Miyagi Zao Kokeshi Gallery and the Shinchi Kokeshi Community which are well-known for their collections of Kokeshi dolls which are a famous local product.
